The PAJRC had to make some difficult decisions today.
Please don't be angry and criticize.
We need to follow the guidelines by Pa. Parks and Recreation Society.
Kids Place- is considered closed as it would require us to have someone there constantly disinfecting everything that was touched.
Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball Courts- masking and social distancing considerations.
Restrooms- recommended to be disinfected after each use but at least every two hours, toilets, sinks door handles and light switches etc. We do not have the man power to do this.
Shelter Rentals- there will be none for 2020. Those who have already made reservations will be contacted and deposit refunded.
Pool- Will not open for Memorial Day and beyond. Those of you who have purchased your season passes early will have your money refunded. We will remove the tarp and turn on the pumps and if some restrictions are lifted later in the summer we will try to open.
We will maintain the grounds at the Park as much as we always have with social distancing and masking in place when necessary.
In an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19, all Portage Borough Offices will be closed to the public, effective immediately, March 20th, 2020 until further notice.    Services will still be provided by contacting the office via telephone, e-mail, and regular mail.  Please logon to the Borough Website for any other additional information and resources related to Covid-19.
